You know the content. You're still losing the marks.
Small, online weekly group lessons. I’ll show you exactly how to understand those A-Level Biology exam questions that look like they make no sense. We don't go over the content again.
The A* Year 13 Programme:
OCR A-Level Biology every Monday
AQA A-Level Biology every Wednesday
Pay As You Go: GBP 30 per lesson
Lesson Package: GBP 28 per lesson
(1:1 with me is GBP 55 a lesson, if you'd rather.)
Your cameras and microphones are off and you can privately ask questions in the chat. After the lesson you get the recording to use in your revision.
Students in the group are just like you
"I'll do exam papers and I'll mark them and they won't be great. I'll go over my corrections and try other ones but my grade is consistently AWFUL"
"I think I knew the content well but it's the longer questions such as the 4 and mainly the 6 marked questions where I lost most marks"
"The mark scheme would say something completely different even though I linked it to the appropriate info"

Why this keeps happening (and why it’s not your fault)
Your notes are organised by topic. The exam isn't. It hides what you know inside a scenario you've never seen and asks you to find the Biology. You freeze - but you know the content, you just need to be shown how to link topics together
30 marks per paper aren't content at all. Practicals, maths, data tables. Nobody's notes cover those. They're only learned by doing the questions and being shown where the marks were.
Technique is a skill, not a topic. Learn it on one 6-marker and it works on every 6-marker, in every topic. That's why one lesson a week is enough - and why we only re-teach content.

What happens in a lesson
We take a question in a scenario you've never seen and annotate it, showing you how to figure out what you need to write in your answer to get marks
I’ll show you not just what the mark scheme says, but why it says that so you know how to get the marks for next time
Graphs, data, practicals: not more notes, just practice saying what the examiner wants to read.

I would recommend a group if…
You're predicted an A or A*, but your mocks came back a B or C ✅
You know the content - you just don't know how to write it to get exam marks ✅
You've tried "more past papers" and your grade hasn't moved ✅
(… and I would not recommend if…)
You’re sitting at an E or U - that's 1:1, not this ❌
You feel like you haven’t understood any of the content - also 1:1 ❌
You want your camera on and to talk it through out loud - also 1:1 ❌

Who is teaching?
I'm Sizi. Neuroscience at King's College London, straight As in my own A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology.
I've taught A-Level Biology full time for a few years - not something I do on the side.
I've gone through the examiner reports for both boards to find exactly what separates a C from an A*/A

FAQs
-
One hour.
-
Yes.
Technique transfers - what you learn on one 6-marker works on every 6-marker, in every topic. That's the whole point of doing it this way.
-
GBP 30 a lesson, pay as you go.
GBP 28 a lesson if you take the rest of the term in one go.
-
You’ll get a lesson recording alongside every lesson!
-
Not at all - camera and mic off is completely normal!
Ask anything in the chat (privately) - I'll answer it in the lesson.
-
The group is capped at 10 students - what is most important to us is that it is small enough for us to pay careful attention to any questions you have mid-lesson
(and that it does not become a lecture)
